By David R. Shirk – 1 month ago | 5 hours agoThe house of Ceballos has been the focus of a fire that destroyed more than $1 million in personal property.
The house was on fire for about five hours before firefighters arrived and put out the fire, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Ceballas house was one of many on fire in the area Thursday night.
The blaze was reported about 1:30 a.m. in the 8500 block of North Avenue in San Bernardino.
It’s unclear what caused the fire.
The sheriff’s department did not provide details on how it started or how many people were inside the home.
A fire department spokesperson told the Associated Press that the fire department was called about a suspicious fire in a vacant lot in the city of Pico Rivera.
The department did respond to a similar fire in November 2014 in a nearby subdivision.
The fire caused about $2.3 million in damage.
