Japan House: ‘There is nothing to hide here’
This is not the first time a house has been the subject of a scandal in Japan.
In 2014, a group of former employees of a Japanese house-building company were found to have defrauded investors by lying about the state of their company and their finances.
They were sentenced to three years in prison, but later pardoned.
In 2015, Japanese authorities arrested a man for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
A judge subsequently cleared him of the crime, saying he had been pressured to confess.
